Healers don't heal. What? Yes. I said it. There is a big misconception that people in the healing arts actually heal people. We don't. We provide the tools necessary to facilitate healing and we often times become the tool ourselves but ultimately it is the client that is in charge of their own healing. After all, you are a very powerful being and you just don't realize that. You have it all in your hands to heal yourself. If you don't believe me then listen to people like Deepak Chopra, Eckhart Tolle, Sonia Choquette, and countless others. They all say the same thing. You should even watch a brilliant documentary, Kumare, and you will see that it is true.
In the book, The Seven Sacred Flames by Aurelia Louise Jones, there is a chapter on the 5th Ray which governs the law of healing. It states: "Nearly all health problems, no matter what form they take or whatever name they have been given by the medical establishment, are caused by a lack of harmony, imbalances and unresolved issues, past or present, in the emotional body. In order to heal the body you must first heal the deep-seated feelings that cause the disturbances. When harmony in the emotional body is restored, the body will align easily and the healing you seek will become permanent."
The issue is that most people don't believe that they have this capability or they just become comfortable being in a state of dis-ease. How can this be you ask? How can someone become comfortable with being sick or even want to stay in that state when they are seeking help. The answer is simple. Some people have been in a state of dis-ease for so long that they actually become the illness. It takes over them in a way that they become "it". They may even start to feed off the sympathy of others and feel that this is their life and there is no other way. They become stuck. So it is part of our job to help them see that they CAN get themselves out of this path and start a new one. One with health and happiness! But it all starts from within. You will not find it outside of yourself. After all, happiness is an inside job. So let's start there.
